To keep in line with the school wide initiative to have a healthier environment for our students, we are asking that parents only send in healthy foods for daily snacks. Foods don’t just fill the stomach; they also help to fuel the brain to think. The key is we need the right kinds of food to make this happen!
Examples of some healthy snacks are:
grapes, strawberries, apples, goldfish, crackers, cheese, water, yogurt, carrots, cereal, granola bars, etc…
The following are examples of less than ideal snacks (that will just slow down thinking):
juice, chips, candy, soda, cakes, and cookies
